Hey everyone! over a month ago I auditioned for the national television show, America's Got Talent! I've been singing since I was 4 and I did some research and convinced my mom to take me to the auditions in NYC. since I live in Staten Island, it took a while to find the right place. when I finally got there.I got a wristband, and a contestant number.I had to wait in a line for security, which wasn't that long. after I got through security i had to wait in another line for registration.I waited in that line for a while, but I met a nice dancer and an awesome singer. I already filled out some paperwork online the day before the auditions, so i saved some time with that, but you can go, paperwork or not.My mom had to fill out one little bit of paperwork at registration, it just said that she was my parent/guardian and she gave me permission to audition.After everything was sorted out at registration, I finally got to the holding room.The first thing I saw was a large camera to tape the opening for the show.I got a questionnaire to fill out while I wait.I was amazed at the talent surrounding me. I felt like I was a little puppy surrounded by large dogs.I filled out the questionnaire quickly. some the questions i remember are, what is your talent? who is your biggest supporter? and what other talents do you have? after a while, one of the producers asked everyone in the room to show their talent for 5 minutes while the camera moved around, and we could not look straight at the camera. They started calling contestant numbers by the 50's. When my range of numbers was called, me,my mom and a bunch of other talents were split up by our talents like singing or dancing.My group had only a few kids and one adult. my group was brought to a room with one producer. the producer called two other kids before me who were amazing, but I had the same level of awesomeness for my audition.after everyone auditioned, the producer told us that we wouldn't get our results until February.I was really bummed but I know that I did good and that's all that counts.I can't wait until i get my results and until then, wish me luck!
